The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has introduced a new digital platform, MVD Virtual PRO – Information and Service Directory Platform,to make the services of the MVD more accessible to the general public. The facility provides coordinated access to useful information and services, including various services, information, contact details, and public notices of the MVD.
This project also aims to create a new paradigm in the transport sector by providing a personalised service management system for each user through an MVD Virtual PRO Digital Card, ensuring direct access to their services. The platform also helps save the public’s time and increases the efficiency of the services, said a statement from the MVD here on Wednesday.
Available in PDF format, the virtual PRO cardprovides the public with basic information related to the MVD services, explanatory videos, audios, documents, and a direct hyperlink to official platforms linked to the MVD. The virtual PRO will also provide the right direction and guidance to the MVD services available online.
The project was developed in collaboration with students from various colleges as part of the “Industry on Campus” programme under the aegis of BMO Human Development Private Limited, the technology partner of the project.
