The Kerala Transport Department organised a state-level seminar titled “Mobility
En Route Sustainability”
at the Believers Convention Centre, Thiruvalla, as part of the government’s Vision 2031
initiative.
The event focused on creating a safe, smart, and sustainable mobility ecosystem for the
state.
Hon’ble Transport Minister Shri K. B. Ganesh Kumar inaugurated the seminar and
outlined the department’s
new strategic direction. He emphasised that ensuring road safety, service efficiency, and
sustainability
would be the three pillars guiding Kerala’s transport development over the next decade.
The Transport Minister emphasized that stricter measures will be implemented
in driving licence issuance and vehicle registration to enhance road safety and
discipline.
The Minister noted that these reforms align with the government’s long-term mobility
vision—promoting responsible driving, strengthening enforcement systems, and adopting
digital solutions to improve service delivery. The Transport Department aims to make
Kerala’s mobility ecosystem safer, smarter, and more citizen-centric by 2031.
